SCOPE We’re looking to translate (and occasionally write) from English to German content related to time-tracking, such as reviews of HR software, time-tracking law articles, etc. We do not take contracts on the number of words as we’re more focused on quality than quantity. WORKFLOW We have a team of around 15 that communicates via Slack as well as via a daily meeting (which is mostly a way to meet your colleagues and voice out any issues). INTERVIEW You will be required to have a 15-minute video interview with your camera on. We find the best way to arrange this interview is for either side to give a shout on UpWork messenger letting the other side know they’re available, and if the other person is available the interview can happen within a few minutes. WORK HOURS Typically, contracts start at 20 hours per week. Upon satisfactory performance, hours are typically increased to 35−40 hours per week. You can work when you want, but you must attend a 15-minute team meeting at 4.45pm Malaysia Time with your camera on every weekday. ASSESSMENT Your work will be continually assessed (like if you had a job). If we deem your output to be above your hourly rate, you’ll soon get a pay rise. If it’s below your hourly rate, you’ll soon be out. While quantity is a factor, there are many other things we look at (e.g. some articles require significant research, a well-written article takes longer, etc…). LEGAL All your work will belong to us forever. |
