jovoto’s STORY
jovoto was founded by Bastian Unterberg in Berlin at the University of Arts in 2007.
He founded jovoto to provide an alternative to the traditional, and often rigid work environments often found in creative industries like architecture, advertising, and fashion. Traditional work environments often feature high entry barriers, rigid hierarchies, poor feedback cycles, high pressure and limited choices are demotivating factors for creative talent. As a result, they do not always foster the creativity needed to solve the challenges that organizations face.
This challenge inspired jovoto’s journey to develop a feasible way that creative talent can work; a future that is much more flexible, open, collaborative, and nurturing than traditional work environments. With happy talent, comes better creative results!
TIMELINE
Bastian Unterberg came up with the idea for jovoto in end of 2006, while he was still studying at the University of Arts in Berlin. After incorporating the jovoto GmbH in mid 2007 and a year long development and trials phase, the platform was officially launched at the end of 2008.
In mid 2010, the jovoto Inc. was incorporated in New York City to better serve our U.S. based clients and prove that the product works in other large markets.
In 2013 jovoto became profitable and achieved to win clients in all major industry verticals such as Automotive, FMCG, Retail, Travel & Leisure, Healthcare, Telcos, Media & Advertising, Public Sector, Industrial Goods as well as many NGOs. Also in 2013 Bastian Unterberg co-authored the book, Crowdstorm which is published by Wiley & Sons, NY.
In 2014 jovoto set a global benchmark by launching the first Crowdstorming platform technology.
