For over eighty years, the Padow family has been synonymous with the deli, grocery, and ham business. In 1936, George Padow launched his first retail outlet and grocery store in Richmond, Virginia’s historic Jackson Ward area. The company quickly gained popularity, earning a reputation as a supplier of mouth-watering, premium quality hams and meats at affordable prices.
With the passing of time, George’s sons Sidney and Eddie recognized the need to adapt to the changing preferences and requirements of their customers. In the 1980s, they decided to move away from the traditional grocery store format and expand their product line to cater to a wider audience.
